This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are eager readers and I know they will all be a grade level ahead by the end of the year!
My kindergartners are sweet and kindhearted thinkers.
They put others before themselves and make choices that better our classroom, school, and community. They never give up and have already made gigantic achievements! Our school is located in a suburb outside of St. Louis that has gone through a turbulent year. We have united together and created a caring community for our little learners. We have a dynamic staff and leaders that are helping transform the community and students we serve.
My Project
My students need book boxes and bins. These resources will be used to provide a storage space for each students' on level books. During guided reading, students will be able to select books on their level with ease because they will be sorted and organized in the tubs. Students will learn how to select a book on their level, organize text by level, and various reading strategies.
Donations to this project will help my students learn more about texts and organization.
It will improve my classroom because the materials will be organized and easy to access. Students will understand how to access literature and be responsible for their materials.
