I have a very diverse group of children from all ability levels.
I have English language learners and many students who receive free or reduced price lunch.
We are an elementary school and in the only district in the state without a racial majority. With a variety of all types of learners, this technology will help bring us all closer together. It will help them teach, learn and collaborate with not only their peers, but other students across the globe.
My Project
Students will answer the following scientific questions:
How can we use models and simulations to create complex systems?
How can current technologies solve everyday problems?
Students will learn to computer code using applications on the iPads. We will begin with exploring a coding website. This website offers an elementary school curriculum that allows even the youngest students to explore the limitless world of computing. By the end of each course, students can create interactive games, stories, and art that they can share with anyone.
This project will help students be prepared for life in today's technological society.
They will learn scientific, complex computer systems. They will be able to create their very own applications and computer games.
