My students need math number lines, place value blocks, and math activities to help them work on skills that will be necessary in the next grade and in life.
By the end of second grade students need to learn crucial math skills in order to be successful going forward. I want my students to master these skills. The best way to master these skills is by learning them through hands-on activities.
I have 24 very active second graders.
My students love to be active and involved in their learning. They like to watch and listen, but they love to be hands-on in their learning. The best thing about my students is watching as they make connections to what they're learning as they actively participate in their learning.
My Project
With these these place value blocks, magnetic write-on number lines, student number lines, and telling time activities my students will be able to actively engage in learning by being hands-on. They will be able to manipulate the place value blocks and actively use the number line strips while working to solve math problems. The students will also get to work in partners or small groups to complete hands-on telling time and measurement activities. This will allow them to make connections between the skills they need to learn and the activities they are participating in.
Your donations will allow my students to be active participants in their learning.
There is nothing better then seeing a child's face light up when they know they have accomplished something or learned something new for the first time. With your donations my students will make these amazing accomplishments and learn the skills they need to be successful!
