My 2nd graders are some of the hardest workers you will ever meet. My students come to school every day where they get a warm breakfast, balanced lunch, and a fresh fruit or vegetable snack several times a week. My students walk, ride a bus, are driven by their parents and even come by taxi cab.
My students are just like so many kids across America who want to feel successful and realize their dreams.
They love to use technology and catch onto the abundant number of games and programs designed to make learning fun. Presently, my students share 4 Chromebooks when we use technology to enhance our learning.
My Project
By adding three iPad minis to my classroom collection of technology tools, I hope to slowly grow our access to learning like 21st century learners who have ready, equal access to technology. My end goal is to eventually add enough iPads so that each and every one of my students can use a tablet or computer on a one to one basis whenever they choose.
Donations to this project will begin our progress to bring technology in our classroom to a one to one ratio.
Bringing technology up to that level, classroom by classroom may be the most effective way for me to increase my students' accessibility to technology.
