Ms. Cargal from Ferguson MO is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 12 tablets, cases, and a tv to bring their stem projects to the 21st century.

Paper & pen, tablet & hand, visual or audio, stress or no stress, 2016 or 1975? Those are the questions that my students experience. My students come ready to learn and succeed, but I struggle with supplying my stem projects with advanced materials that the students will actually use in the world.
I work in an inter-city school that is making budget decisions like every other school out there.
With today's economy, it is hard for my school to supply resources for the classroom that will truly help my students learn and give them the success they need for the real world. My students come from home environments where their parents struggle to provide a roof over their heads, let alone put food on their table, or even are able to help the students with their school work. My students know that math is important to their lives, but struggle learning the concepts and skills.
My students need 12 tablets, cases, and a tv to bring their stem projects to the 21st century. By supporting our classroom, with the tablets, cases, and a tv the students will have the opportunity to truly learn "Smarter, together" and be involved in their learning. They will be able to perform more stem projects like actual scientist in the real world do with technology at their finger tips. To start out the students will take on their first investigations by figuring a couple different questions. The first is "Do you memorize more with technology or without technology?" The second is "Do you understand more if the technology is at your finger tips or from a distance?" and the third is "Do you stress out more with technology or without technology?" By performing these investigations the students will be able to see how technology can impact their success and maybe even dampen their success, but most of all the students will be able to do the investigation and use technology to explore, record, and present information as if they were working for a real company in the real world.
In 2013, 69 percent of American high school graduates failed to meet college-readiness benchmarks in science.
These donations will help me continue to grow our students success not only for this year but to make a bigger impact that will last for years to come. I truly value the importance of science education and technology together, and work hard to give the students the opportunity to become future scientist in the world.
