Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students love to read every chance they get during the school day.

My school is located in St.

Louis. The majority of the school receives free and reduced lunch. My students are a great group of kids. I have a diverse classroom. I have a variety of races and socio-economic backgrounds in my classroom. I have many different cultures in my classroom. But, in the classroom we are all apart of the same community and value each others differences.

My Project

Each student will keep one of these book boxes at their seat, so that they may have access to their library books at any time of the school day. This will help eliminate the problem of books getting lost or tore up in their desk, which are already filled with other learning materials.

Your donation will improve my classroom by letting my students have access to reading materials at any time during the school day.

My students will be able to enjoy reading their books without having to wait and ask for permission to go to the library. There books will be right there on their desk!
