My students need reliable access to the internet in order to access a variety of educational resources such as websites. These 6 Chromebooks will allow for them to do so.

My Students
With a class of 24 students and two unreliable desktop computers, it would be amazing to have 6 Chromebooks. We selected 6 Chromebooks because students could use them in a small group and during rotations. Students could access spelling, vocabulary, reading, and math websites with the Chromebooks.
I work with 24 very different, yet very incredible ten-and-eleven-year-olds each day.
I have a supportive team, however, we lack the technology that students today can utilize to thrive. There are many engaging, educational website, which my students love, however, since we share 2 desk top computers, they are rarely able to access these resources. Our school is full of bucket filling leaders who are ready to prosper and develop into lifelong leaders who love learning.
My Project
Students will be able to use the Chromebooks in small groups. Students will be able to access a variety of educational websites, including, but not limited to: Study Island, Spelling/Vocabulary City, Mobymax, Prodigy, iXL, and Scholastic Storyworks. All of these websites offer engaging, differentiated material that students enjoy. Students will be able to work on their level and at their pace with websites that allow me to monitor and track their growth, progress, and struggles in order to differentiate my instruction.
My students absolutely love when we have the opportunity to use computers, I strongly feel that my students would benefit from the daily use of this modern technology.
Having six reliable Chromebooks in our classroom will allow for students to work collaboratively in a small group as well as independently.
Students will be able to complete real-world assignments have fun doing so. Many websites are able to meet the student at their individual level. Students are able to then work at their own pace while I am able to work with a small group and still monitor student progress, growth, and struggles to determine the direction of my teaching.
