My Students
There's nothing like snuggling up in a cozy place with a good book!
My students are kindergartners in the city of St.
Louis! They come from many different cultures and speak many different languages! Our school is definitely a melting pot. Although we have many different traditions and family lives, reading brings us all together! My students love to learn, and they are off to a great start in their educational careers!
My Project
My students will be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy a comfy space to read! A rug with calming colors and many different comfortable options for seating (sofa, chairs, bean bags) will offer a variety of choices for my students as they read each day! They will be given the opportunity to practice reading and retelling stories in a peaceful and calming environment.
A clean, organized, and attractive classroom is very important for young learners.
My classroom lacks a large space set aside specifically as a reading nook. Providing this neat and comfortable place for students will encourage them to explore a variety of books and share books with friends in a cozy space.
