My students are wide eyed and bushy tailed to learn about new and exciting things. We lack some of the technological materials to help them keep up with the fast paced learning they would love to do! Every student can learn new things, just not all in the same way or on the same day.
My students are willing to learn.
They exhibit a joy to be in school everyday and have so much excitement about life. One of the perks of teaching eight year olds is that they know only to love new things. They are all looking for the opportunity to become some amazing members of society (batman and army man are a few of my favorite jobs they have chosen.)
My Project
The iPads will be used in so many ways. They will be used to document experiments and slow down to watch reactions occur. They will be used to help struggling readers hear new sounds as well as advanced readers to challenge themselves. They will also be used to allow math problems to come to life.
My student's have grown up in an era where technology is all around them but simply just out of their reach.
They do not have access to computers each day and could greatly benefit from catching up to this generation. They all deserve to have the advantages they need.
