My students need a mobile storage cart, book bins, and 19 sets of leveled reading books for our classroom library!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. M.'s classroom raised $1,055
This project is fully funded
My Students
Some of my students come from homes where books are not readily available and because of this, sadly, they have yet to discover their love for reading.
Our school is a Title One, low income school where children from all different socioeconomic statuses come to learn.
We learn right at the beginning of school that we accept our differences and that everyone brings something different to our class to make it a family.
My Project
My students will use the mobile storage cart, book bins, and 19 sets of leveled reading books for our classroom library for multiple purposes. The first purpose is during guided reading groups where they will learn different strategies to help them become fluent readers. They will also use these books during our silent reading time, when they can have books on their reading level in their book tubs to read for practice.
Books, as I'm sure you're aware, are very expensive!
This leveled library will make a huge difference in our classroom because students will have access to books at their reading level instead of books that are too hard or too easy. Having books at their level will help make them stronger, more fluent readers!
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
More than half of students from low‑income households
