Being a special education teacher and working at a Title I school where the majority of the students are on free or reduced lunch, makes me realize just how much support my students truly need. My students already face learning challenges, and I don't want the room they work in to make them feel anymore "different" than their peers. I want my students to embrace their differences and acknowledge their strengths. I always say to my students, You might not understand it yet...but you will." This instills the growth mindset for them to live their lives by.

About my class
