My students have loved using IXL for growing their mathematical knowledge! And it's all because of you! They can explore math topics at grade level and beyond!
The one thing that I love most about this program is that my students can work at their own pace.
The other great thing is that they can explore math topics that are interesting to them. And that is the program you helped purchase. But IXL is great about expanding these interests and this knowledge base! Students can explore the other areas of IXL for free daily! This includes language arts, science, and social studies! What a great gift you have given my kiddos! Thank you so much!”

We are beyond grateful for the wonderful books we received this year. The kids are in love with all the different stories and pictures. Meeting new characters from different backgrounds and cultures. Many similiar to there own!
We ordered many Spanish books this year and wow did my kids love them! Everyday I do multiple read alouds and I have many kids who don't speak English. So with these books, I or my teacher assistant, is able to take a group of kids who only speak Spanish and read these books.
The kids are especially connected with the books that were based on Latin American Countries. These books have their home countries' flags, with important places, and food dishes. I even had one student who doesn't speak much at all, light up and tell me all about his home country. Books are such a great way to learn and to connect to the world!”

Thank you so much for your generous donations that helped fulfill this project. My students were so excited to have their sight words displayed on the pocket charts. They love "playing teacher" by pointing to the different sight words.
I had no pocket charts in my classroom. One of the biggest advantages of pocket charts is that they're portable and don't take up much space. They can be hung on the whiteboard in the classroom with magnetic hooks, on a bulletin board, or on a pocket chart holder.
Pocket charts enhance learning as they allow students to visually build words and sentences as well as better understand a word, sentence structure, and or topics.
They are versatile in how they can be used in whole group settings and in small group settings. I know that these pockets charts and resources would significantly boost student learning. Again, thank you so much for helping me achieve this goal!”
My students were so excited to see that more items had arrived in the classroom. They appreciate how they are able to express themselves in the classroom with the supplies that were given. They continue to enjoy getting the mochi squishes and stickers as rewards for doing good in class or helping a friend in need. The quick cups games was a hit during our family night at the schools. This was a chance for students to use their math skills to impress their parents. The students have been also working on better expressing themselves in their writing, they practice this using the fidget or colorful pens. With the books that were donated along with the curriculum I teach. students also respond using RACES strategies. It is a joy grading all the colorful papers. This school year has definitely been a busy and overwhelming year working with students whose writing has seem to be affected by the pandemic. Thank you for making it possible for me to teach my class and motivate them to work and express themselves freely with no judgement. My students and I are grateful for all that you have given us. You are truly a blessing!”
Thank you for helping us get items for our children's hospital service learning project. Many of our students were able to put together activity bags for our local children's hospital. We were not able to have all of our kids participate, but the ones who did absolutely loved putting the bags together. They wrote nice notes of love and care for the children who get these activity bags. I loved their notes and they really liked giving back to their community. The activity bags are filled with notebooks, colorful pens, cube puzzles, crayons, coloring books, and more. We had many items to share with kids who need something to do while in the hospital. I really appreciate your love and support for our students and community. We hope that learning to give back in middle school will continue as they grow older and into adulthood. Giving back and caring for others are skills we all need and even though I teach math, I want these skills taught as well:) I really hope you have a wonderful day and know your donation touched many lives today.”

We're using our new resources to explore projects that we wouldn't otherwise be able to do in class. These projects require extra supplies like canvases, scratch paper, and fabric. These individualized projects allow students to explore their identity in relation to our school and each other. Now that construction on our building is finished, we are looking forward to displaying the work in the halls and display cases. Our goal is for students to see themselves and their culture reflected in the art in our building.
When the students first saw all the new materials they were immediately excited to get started. They were very interested in painting on the canvases because they had never seen one before. The students really enjoyed the acrylic paint because it was different from the watercolor paint they were used to; they said it was much "better" paint and more fun to use.
Our next steps including expanding our art opportunities for everyone on our team so that all students who are interested in art, regardless of whether or not they're taking an art class, get to participate in creating something new. We want these opportunities to be useful for socio-emotional learning as well as exploring art-related careers. Our students are beginning to plan for the rest of their lives and we want to help them connect their passions to their future.”

Thank you so much for your generous donations for our project, "We Can't Hear You." Since we are in a low income, inner city, title 1 school, it is difficult for some of our students to have adequate school supplies. When covid 19 hit, technology became a necessity in our schools and it changed the way that we teach. Since our students are now required to complete district mandated activities and assessments on their devices, headphones are essential. Using these headphones will allow them to concentrate and put their best foot forward when working in class. My team and I truly appreciate the kindness and generosity that you have shown our first grade students. We will be forever grateful!”

Thank you so much for helping to support my classroom. My students were so excited when the headphones arrived! They got started using the headphones, and surge protector for our reading and math workshop right away!
The headphones have been helping my students stay focused as they research and explore topics connecting to our curriculum, and expand their learning on their Chromebooks without any interruptions. The surge protector has been an amazing help where students are able to charge their Chromebooks during the workshop stations. Students do not have to worry about their Chromebook battery running low during workshop!
We are so happy to have these tech tools in our classroom. We are looking forward to using them all school year, and staying focused on our learning! Thank you again for your donation, and supporting our classroom!”

I am beyond words right now! Thank you so much to each and every one of you who made this dream project possible.
There were so many ways this project has supported my students! It has changed the way they grasp multiplication and division with the use of the hands-on materials. The novels have been a huge hit with all of my students as we take a few minutes out of our sessions each day to read and discuss how the topics relate to our own experiences. The STEM challenge learning cards have been so useful in building engagement and assisting in social interaction, building vocabulary, and building outside-the-box thinking. The SnapWords have been extremely helpful in assisting my most significant readers as they are now beginning to recognize sounds and irregular words in their reading. The other materials (i.e. timer, writing tools, fun erasers...) have been so impactful in providing sensory support and behavioral management.
This project means so much to me and my students. Not only will our students be practicing math skills, but they will also be learning important social skills such as communication, following directions, and taking turns.
You have made a huge difference in these student's lives! Thank you for making this possible! I cannot wait to share the good news with all my families!”

Calculators seems like such an everyday item that they are often an overlooked school supply item. When it comes to testing-state or district level-calculators are a necessity. During the Springtime End of Course testing season, calculators are a valuable and in demand supply. With hundreds of students testing all at once, it is next to impossible to ensure everyone has one. Thanks to your generosity we now have a total of 200 calculators!!!!
This helps with test scheduling. It makes the process of scheduling testing for 1000 students tremendously easier knowing we have enough calculators for 200 students to test at once.
Thank you so much for choosing to support our school! You have truly made an impact. Thank you!!!”
