My goal in the library is to create life-long readers and prepare our students for the future. Unfortunately, most of my students do not have access to books at home and their only opportunity to read is at school in my library. In spite of all of their struggles, our students show up every day and are eager to learn. I love watching them snuggle up with a book and set to reading in the library. Some students even come into the library before or after school or read during recess time. This truly touches my heart as I know that reading for pleasure is not always modeled in their homes.
