  • For the Love of Learning in Pre-K

    Funded Aug 22, 2015

"Did Santa Clause come?'" said one of my students. More than a little excited is how I would describe the children's reactions to the boxes of learning games and instructional materials that were delivered to our classroom.

My students are using all of the new materials during reading and math stations. And we love the letter paddles for use during carpet time learning. We use these in conjunction with music and movement. The impact on student learning is great. They enjoy learning and working together with all the new materials.

There is a significant boost in teaching and learning because of the level of excitement brought on by the new materials. The students have such a desire to go to stations so they can engage with each other. Their enthusiasm is contagious because I can't wait to use the new goodies too!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peck

  • Bounce Into Learning

    Funded Jul 23, 2015

Wild enthusiasm was the atmosphere in our classroom the day we opened our boxes from Donor's Choose. The children were overwhelmed with excitement when they saw all the new ball seats!

The new materials are used all day and during reading, language, and math stations to help all students focus. The children are in love with the alternative seating.

These materials greatly enhance classroom instruction by making 'paying attention' so much fun. I have noticed that my most wiggly of students have been able to focus and what they are learning is amazing! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peck

  • Let The Music Move.........You!

    Funded Feb 19, 2014

Thank you so much for funding this wonderful project that allows my students to express themselves musically. The children were beyond excited about all the instruments and cd's. They beg everyday to use them!

We use the instruments and musical cd's to exercise, to learn, to have brain breaks, and, our favorite, to participate in parades! Because rhythm is such an important part of early childhood development, we use the instruments to practice different patterns and rhythms.

This project has made such an impact on student learning because it allows my students to use both hemispheres of the brain to learn in a natural way. The materials are used for reading, math, and social development. We love learning with our new instruments and music!”

  • Language Here, Language There, Language is Everywhere!

    Funded Nov 16, 2013

Beyond excited was the atmosphere in our classroom the day we opened our boxes from Donor's Choose. The children were overwhelmed with excitement when they saw all the new language learning stations.

The new materials are used during reading and language stations to develop necessary common core standards. The children are in love with the retelling box , as well as all the other new stations. They adore the stamps too.

These materials greatly enhance classroom instruction by making learning fun. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

  • Games That Teach....Reading Fun!

    Funded Oct 21, 2013

"This is the most exciting day ever," said one of my students. Beyond excited is how I would describe the children's reactions to the box of learning games I opened during carpet time.

My students are using the interactive smart board games during learning station time in our classroom. They enjoy learning and playing the games together. I am also using the smart board games and the other two games to individualize instruction and remediate for those who need it.

There is a boost in teaching and learning because of the level of excitement brought on by the new materials. The students are so happy each and every time they go to stations, and I am happy using the materials too!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peck

  • This Little Light of Mine....I'm Gonna' Let it Shine!

    Funded Mar 21, 2011

On behalf of myself and my wonderful students, I want to thank you all for you generosity and for your belief in the power of education!

Because of your generous donations, my project has been fully funded, and I now have a projector which will give me the freedom and ease of making learning powerful and meaningful to each one of my students, regardless of their schema. I will be able to reach them all in a way that will motivate them 100 percent of the day. I will be able to integrate my digital camera and the projector to create PowerPoint's which show our classroom activities, thus aiding in the ongoing enhancement of our classroom community. Also, I will be able to impact the other 160 kindergarten students at our school by sharing ideas with fellow teachers. You are all so amazing and your kindness will be shared with those who are our future.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Peck
