Cool Tech Equipment to Enhance Learning!
Funded Jan 17, 2024Thank you for your support of this project. The tech requested in this project has been put to very good use. The ipad stand/mount has enabled my students to come up to my desk and easily write on the ipad to show their work or answers on our classroom notes.
The students love being able to come up and demonstrate their work and get very excited when they get called on. The portable DVD player has enabled students to be able to watch movies or videos that enhance their learning.

Apple TV and Mount for Classroom Projector!
Funded Mar 16, 2023Thank you so much for your support in this project. As soon as we received the Apple TV, we installed it immediately and put it to good use. We have used the Apple TV for various activities so far.
We have used the Apple TV to airplay our daily agenda for the day so that students can keep track of the schedule for the day. We have also used the Apple TV for student presentations. Students created presentations on Google Slides and were able to present them through their Chromebooks.
The Apple TV has allowed students to use technology to enhance their learning and it wouldn't have been possible without your help. On behalf of my students and I, thank you again for your support in math excellence.”

School Supplies for an Awesome Year in Math!
Funded Oct 26, 2022Thank you for your generous donation and support of this project. This project helped fund a lot of necessary supplies that we use on a weekly basis and we wouldn't have been able to produce some beautiful projects without these supplies.
With your donation, my students received supplies such as glue sticks that have been used for activities such as matching linear equations with their corresponding graphs as well as gluing in their class notes and foldables.
The color paper that was purchased through this project helped students create beautiful books with their group members in order to demonstrate their understanding of solving linear equations.
Thank you for donating to this project and for helping to fund these supplies that not only encourage my students to learn math, but enjoy it as well.”

Funded Sep 27, 2022Thank you for your generous donation and support of this project. With your donation, we were able to purchase a class set of yard sticks. These yard sticks were used for a group project in helping students understand slope.
Students used the yardsticks to measure and mark 10 feet on the black top. Students then had to time how long it took their group members to walk and run 10 feet. Students were also given a third option to be creative as to how they would get from the starting line to the finish line.
Students practiced using these yard sticks to measure accurately with their group members 10 feet and also practicing drawing a straight line (it was harder than they thought :)). Students had a blast with this project and it helped them to solidify the concept of slope and that wouldn't have been possible without the help from you so thank you for supporting real-world application projects such as this one.”

Building Cities in Math!
Funded Apr 22, 2022Thank you once again for your support in this project. My students were so excited when we received our materials and could not wait to get started on building their cities.
My students used the materials that were purchased through this project immediately. I was completely blown away by how creative students were with the materials that were purchased. Students could not have been able to create such bustling cities without the help of generous donors.
Students used the materials to enhance the specific themes of their cities. Some examples of the cities students built were Barbie-themed, army-themed, and underwater-themed, just to name a few.
Thank you for allowing my students to express their creativeness while demonstrating their knowledge of parallel lines and transversals and the different angle relationships that are formed.”

School Supplies for a Successful Year!
Funded Nov 30, 2021Thank you again for your support in funding my classroom project. The supplies requested have been very useful and students have been making good use of them.
Students use the red pens everyday to correct homework, the binder paper to show all of their work for assignments and assessments, and the glue sticks for class activities.
My students and I are so appreciative of these supplies because not only are they supporting students' learning, but also encouraging their love in mathematics. This would not have been possible without generous donors such as yourselves.”

Funded Apr 19, 2017Thank you so much for your support in this project. My students were so excited when I told them that we would be getting some decorative supplies such as glitter, puffy paint, and colored construction for their last project of the year: building game boards.
My students couldn't wait to use the materials! As you can tell from the pictures, their projects turned out amazing! It wouldn't have been possible without your help. They really enjoyed using the puffy paint, glitter glue, and glitter to add a little more pizazz to their projects. I am so proud of all their hard work and the effort they put in and they were also really proud of their finished product.

Hands On Activities To Engage Middle School Mathematicians!
Funded Jan 23, 2017Thank you again for your support in this project. With your generous donation, my students were able to work together as a collaborative team to solve various math challenges that required them to use color blocks and build 3D models. Students had to problem solve and figure out how to work together to put the color blocks together in the correct manner as well as learning about important math terms such as edge and surface.
In addition to the building blocks activity, your donation funded a class set of 3D geometric figures to help students understand volume. My students were so excited that they were able to see math in action and to be able to derive the formulas for volume of cones and spheres. It is because of these 3D geometric figures, students were able to fill them up with water and figure out the relationship between cylinders, cones, and spheres. My students absolutely loved this hands on activity.
I hope to continue to use the resources that were purchased through this project to encourage students to work together as a team and to collaborate to solve various problems. I am a strong believer that teamwork allows students to see other people's perspectives and gives them a chance to learn from others.

Building Cities Using Math!
Funded Feb 2, 2017My students have finished building their cities and it wouldn't have been possible without your support and donation. All the supplies that were requested were put to very good use. Students were able to use the paint to add color to their buildings and the hot glue sticks were very handy in making sure that students' buildings stayed in place. Students loved that they were able to use these supplies to add their own artistic flair to the project. The projects were on display for Open House and everyone was so impressed by what the students could do. I received several compliments about how great it was that art was being incorporated into math and how this project allowed students to connect what they learned in math to real-world situations.
Students had so much fun on this project that they are already asking what's next. The next project students will be working on is creating game boards where the questions are concepts they have learned throughout the year in preparation for the SBAC test in May. I know we will need several materials for this last project and I hope that I can count on generous donors such as yourselves to help make this happen.”
