Comfy, Cozy Learning
Funded Sep 13, 2019You helped beyond any words I could ever express to you!
This year has made that even more clear. Kids need loving structure, a gathering place and not mandatory seats where children can not see or talk to each other. Gathering places are important for developmentally appropriate skills as children grow. Learning how to speak to one another, look each other in the eyes while we speak, and many social skills are learned at the carpet.
You have made a huge difference and I can not thank you enough for your extremely generous gift.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Ridgley

Painting Through Kindergarten
Funded Aug 22, 2017Thank so much for your generous donations that has let our sweet five and six year olds paint! Painting and art is so important in the early years and allows students to really express themselves. This week we painted our hands to make Turkeys for Thanksgiving. They were so proud of their art and they were truly unique to each child because they were their handprints. They were very excited to take them home to their parents.
We will use these supplies for years to come! Thank you again for your continued support!”

Funded Aug 4, 2017I want to thank you with the deepest gratitude for donating to this project! Students having books they can read at their reading level is extremely important. They can practice the skills they learn in small group during independent work stations with confidence. The kids are excited to book shop weekly and love to find the sight word and letters they learn in these books. They are a great addition to our classroom library and the Kindergartens are always happy to have these books in their book boxes!
Thank you again for all of your support!”

Chromebooks for Third Grade Thinkers
Funded Feb 7, 2017Thank you so much for your kind and generous donations to my classroom! These Chromebooks have made such an impact on my third graders and I can not thank you enough.
We have been able to complete multiple projects, learn our math facts, cooperatively work on assignments and many more engaging activities with the Chromebooks! The kids easily learn and are so much more engaged with technology as a piece of our day. They allow them to complete assignments quicker and continue with engaging ways to learn.
Thank you so much again for your thoughts and your donations!”

Funded Nov 1, 2015Thank you so much again for all of your continued support in our classroom. These iPads have been a tremendous help and we are so thankful to have had a 2:1 classroom this school year. This is so important because it saves us valuable time. It helps the students get started right away instead of trying to find which iPad they used last and logging in.
We would not be able to create as many engaging, fun projects if it were not for your donations and we sincerely thank you for this opportunity.”

Hokki Stools for a Hokie School
Funded Aug 22, 2015The changes in our classroom with these Hokki stools and our balls have continued to benefit the students. The students have more stamina during work time and it lasts throughout the day! They are more comfortable and were able to choose what learning style fits them the best! The fidgeting, walking around, and playing has all decreased!
Students who have more energy appear to have a better success rate on the stools rather than the balls. The balls tend to be too stimulating for some children and I am so fortunate to be able to provide these students with these stools and it is all because of you!
We would not of had the chance to enjoy these wonderful stools if it were not for your support! Thank you so much for all you do for our classroom!”

Technology for Third Grade Thinkers
Funded Aug 25, 2014Thank you so much for thinking about our classroom and helping to provide more opportunities for learning! The students love to create and by creating they are learning and teaching their peers about what they have learned. I love to see the excitement that digital projects bring to the classroom. The students are constantly engaged and excited to learn.
Thanks to you we have the ability to have more students engaged in learning at once. We appreciate your generosity! Make sure you stop by our class blog to see the digital projects we have created!!”

Funded Oct 4, 2014Thank you so much for the additional i pad for our classroom and supporting education! This i pad put our class at a 1 to 2 ratio. This allows us to save and work on multiple projects at a time.
The students and I are thrilled to be working so hard on digital projects. They not only are learning from their creativity, they are teaching their classmates as well. They love to show off their work and love to research and create beautiful projects on apps that they are getting to know so well.
Thank you again for supporting education!”

iPads for Reading Skills
Funded Apr 29, 2014Words can not describe how thankful we are for these i Pads. The students and I are so thrilled to have them in our room. They are used daily in our classroom!
We have already created multiple projects that link to our standards of learning. We used the app Puppet Pals to create a play using them on the seasons. The excitement that came from the students that week was resounding and they learned so much! We also researched the Sun using a discovery kids app and made a Haiku Deck presentation using the app on the i Pads. The children then presented their projects to the class to teach their classmates about the sun. These are just two of the many projects that we have done and will do in the classroom.
This technology is an integral piece of keeping the children engaged in the classroom. We all thank you for your kind and generous support!”
