Don't "String" These Kids Along!
Funded Sep 22, 2013My students are very grateful for your generous donation of tuners and strings. My students asked us where we got them while I opened them in front of one of the classes. One of the students said it felt like Christmas!
The guitars in our classroom are slowly getting repaired and staying in tune because of the tuners and strings. I'm working on getting a parent volunteer to help me maintain the guitars.
Because of your donation we can now have every student in the classroom on their own guitar. This increases the amount of time each student gets to play each week in my class.”

Ms. Baker
This classroom project was brought to life by an anonymous donor and one other donor.Little Kids Rock!
Funded Oct 13, 2013Thank you so much for your kind donation towards ukulele's in our classroom! When the students received the ukuleles they were so excited. They were able to open them brand new from the boxes! These instruments are completing our collection of ukuleles in the classroom so now each student gets to play one.
So far this year students have learned two chords on the ukulele, F and C. Several students have mastered these chords and are moving on to a minor! Each day when I see my students they are so excited to get more practice on these instruments.
These instruments are helping all students to be involved during class time. We also hope to eventually have enough ukuleles that our students can take them home to practice if they choose to. Thank again for your generous donations.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Baker
We're Ready To Rock!
Funded Oct 12, 2012Thank you for your donation of a guitar and bass to our music classroom. We are in the works of planning a rock band for our students. In our general music classroom it's difficult to make music education relevant on a day-to-day basis. Having instruments that the students can relate to help to get them involved in the music making process.
Your donation will give our students the opportunity to be a part of a more modern music making process that many of them are interested in. We will be doing a project where students are able to make up their own songs using the rock band instruments. They are so excited to get their hands on these!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Baker
Would You Please Help Us Get Some Ukuleles?
Funded Jun 6, 2012I would personally like to thank each of you for helping make my classroom and fun, safe, and exciting learning environment. I really can't explain how amazing it is to finally have an instrument for the older students that is relevant! I've tried so many things from recorder to xylophones to choir with my middle school kids and nothing has worked.
However, on the last day of school last year the ukulele project was funded! We received them the first week of school and we've played them every day. Using an amazing curriculum called Ukelele in the Classroom my students are learning how to read and appreciate music through the ukulele.
I hope you understand the impact you've had on all of the lives of my students and me!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Baker
