The sand and water table we received as a result of your donations has afforded students in our kindergarten multiple opportunities to explore texture and measurement. These opportunities benefit students, as they develop mathematical thinking and problem solving skills. Additionally, students are able to engage in conversations with their peers which foster their social and emotional development.

Without your donation, our school would not have been able to afford to purchase an item like a sand and water table. For very young students, like our kindergartners, experiential learning is a key component to their overall academic success. Your donation has made a remarkable difference in the early years of our students' education.”

I can't thank you enough for donating the supplies for our color laser. With the California economy projections in such a dire state, we expect funding of our schools to be cut. Those cuts will be significant and unfortunately will affect the classrooms -- your donation will allow us to continue teaching a very effective program to our English Learners and Special Education mainstreamed students, who require differentiated instruction. The majority of our students suffer from the "digital divide" and providing materials for our printer will ensure we can help our students get over that divide.

I can't tell you what a benefit you have given to the Law, Business & Government smaller learning community. Our school is in an economically disadvantaged neighborhood, and many students do not have access to technology at home. Our teachers are trying to prepare the students for college, which means typed papers, powerpoint presentations and multimedia presentations. This printer will allow us to continue some very important work. When we complete our project (after the New Year begins) I hope to get the students to write you themselves.

I would like to THANK YOU, Dear Donor! When I read that my proposal had been fully funded I let out a Whoop of Joy! I will only have two 8th grade US History classes for the 2007-08 school year, the others are 7th grade Early & Medieval World History. This will be the first year that 8th grade Social Studies students will have to take periodic assessments, so these workbooks will mean a great deal towards the success quotient for the students in my classes! This is fantastic and overwhelming! I have been struggling to find books for second graders for a long time! Your donation will help the students next year when they will learn research skills. I will first guide them write reports on camouflage and fossil; afterwards they will conduct their own research about a hero. Thank you so much for being a Donor on Donors hoose. I am very excited that this fieldtrip will be funded. Many of my students are financially unable to attend local cultural events like musicals. Plus I have many students from different countries and when they get to experience an American musical, it brings literature alive for them and inspires them to read more. You must have a kind heart to be able to put smiles on children's faces and not be able to be there with them. Perhaps one day, the donors will join us for these very special events.
