  • Smartboard Programs for Kindergarteners

    Funded Jan 9, 2012

Thank you very much for your generous donation to my classroom. These words are not enough to express the gratitude I have for your donation. The smartboard games are a wonderful addition to our classroom. We use them every day during our workstation time. It is helping the students learn letters, sounds, words, vocabulary and pre-reading concepts.

Our school is in the midst of budget cuts so I would not be able to get so many games for my classroom without your support. For new learners, these skills are extremely important to practice and the games makes it fun for the students and increases their independent skills. These skills are life long skills that will stay with the students the rest of their school career.

Thank you so much for making a difference in my students lives. Without people like you, the future of our country would not be as bright!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moritz

  • Colorful Workstation Time

    Funded Dec 13, 2011

Thank you very much for your generous donation to my classroom. These words are not enough to express the gratitude I have for your donation. The cabinet is a wonderful addition to our classroom. We use it every day during our workstation time. It is helping the students learn numbers, counting, letters, sounds, words and fine motor skills. It also takes up less space in the classroom, which is a big help since our class sizes are growing.

Our school is in the midst of budget cuts so I would not be able to get such a wonderful and useful piece of furniture. For new learners, these skills are extremely important to practice and this cabinet makes it fun for the students and increases their independent skills. These skills are life long skills that will stay with the students the rest of their school career.

Thank you so much for making a difference in my students lives. Without people like you, the future of our country would not be as bright!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Moritz

The 25 kindergarteners in my classroom come with little or no school experience. Everything we work on is a new situation for them. They are eager to learn all about school and the academics. The children appreciate all the things I am able to do for them - from big things to small things. Many do not have the background knowledge that one would think they should have by their age. Many have not been to a mall or beyond a 10 mile radius. We are a very small school district - only three school buildings inside the borough limits. Our school has an increasing number of free and reduced lunch children. The children are very eager to learn and are very appreciative of any new experiences that are offered to them.
