Music class is unique in that it provides a creative, multifaceted learning experience that immerses the senses AND emotions while teaching discipline and coordination. My students are enthusiastic 12 to 18-year-old musicians who just want to make beautiful music together! My boys and girls come from single parent and foster homes, homeless shelters, and other low-income and stressful situations. Many of my students have no access to musical instruments of any kind outside of my classroom.
