On behalf of myself, my colleagues, and the students at PS 77@164, I want to extend a heartfelt "thank you". Without kind and generous people like you, my students would be at a great loss. Children on the Autism Spectrum depend on visual aids to help them learn and communicate, and would be at a great loss without them. We are always looking for ways to make sure that we have enough materials to make this possible. The ink that was purchased for my school will provide the students with knowledge and "voice". Again, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped fund my project.”
Thank you so much for lighting up our learning process! Technology is such a huge part of our education efforts, and now we can continue to use our Smartboard projector cart! It is much easier to model and interact with students during the lesson, when multimedia is involved. We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to our project. It is imperative to show these kids that we do care and that we will go out of our way to see that they can get the best education possible. We thank you !!!!”
It is with great overwhelming pleasure that I write you to thank you for all of the materials that my class has received. Since my class has gotten these materials our lives have been easier.
On the first day of school all of my students came into my room to find a pencil case, notebook and and pen on their desk. They couldn't believe that it was for them. They all said that they had never had a teacher give them supplies on the first day. For many of them, those three things are still the only materials they have brought to school.
Also, the materials allowed students to make their work much more presentable and creative. From the bottom of our hearts thank you very much.”
Thank you everyone for your generous donations to our Occupational Therapy room! With your help, I will continue to provide occupational therapy services to all of my students with special needs. Most of the tools that we asked for encourage the development of sensory processing and ability to achieve optimal function in their classroom environments. My students will be so thrilled to utilize all the supplies that you have helped us get!!

Thank you very much for helping me incorporate multi-culturism into my classroom. Your donation brought the resources necessary to integrate multicultural art and music into our studies. Student learned about different cultures through and their art. They learned to appreciate it . They also learned that art and music are at the center of every culture. They learned how to make connections to their own culture. My students learned different songs from Latin-America. They also learned about different artisan masks and what they represent. Each student also had the opportunity to create their own mask.

The roar of applause when my students finally saw the stack of boxes containing our classroom supplies was enormous. The impact of these supplies is much greater than having the tangible gift. My student's saw with their own eyes that there are good people in this world who truly believe in their ability to achieve.
All of my student's struggle with academics and must contend with the label of being a child with special needs. They often enter my classroom with a feeling of being excluded. However, the receipt of these supplies has boosted their self-esteem ten fold.
I now have the opportunity to teach uninterrupted lessons throughout the day, without my students being in need of the necessary supplies to complete tasks. The rewards of having the tools to teach have made my teaching experiences that much more enriching.
On behalf of my students I want to give all of you who donated money to this project a thunderous round of applause! Thank you for believing in special education and the heights all children can reach when given the appropriate tools to learn. ”
I am amazed by your support. I am new to Donorschoose.org and was surprised at how people gave to our school. Our school took on the challenge to combat bullying. All teachers and related service providers were asked to assist. As a speech teacher I had to be a bit creative. I choose to foster conversation by fostering activities that required the students to work with each other. The resourced that you donated are being used directly for these activities. The goal is to end bullying. With supporters like you, we may just do that. ”

Thank you all so much for your generosity. My students and I were so excited when the books arrived. They wanted me to open the box immediately and could not wait to begin reading all the wonderful books they received. My students showed their appreciation by sharing their thoughts on how kind some people can be. My students parents do not have the means to provide them with books. They also do not visit the library unless it is a school event. I am very grateful that all of you believe in the same cause as I do, literacy. Thank You.”
Today our room was very quite. Adam, Zachary and Jacky were working on math programs on the computer. Kevin was listening to a book and Alan and Nicholas were watching multiplication videos. It was amazing. Each of them were able to concentrate on what they were doing and they were all so focused on what they were learning.
I can't begin to thank you for these headphones. They have made a huge difference in our classroom. My students love them and are learning so much more because they are focused and have little distractions.

I just handed-out the weighted animals and lap landers to our students with sensory needs...! You cannot even imagine how excited the students were to receive them! Each ones demeanor changed as they walked around the room or sat with the weighted animal around their neck or lap lander on their lap. Just to give you an example of how powerful your donation was, when I walked into one of the classrooms the teacher remarked that one of her students was very hyper. As I reached out to give the student the weighted animal he put it on eagerly and immediately seemed to calm. While we watched him walk with it, we discussed whether a lighter and shorter one would be better than the longer and heavier one that he was wearing. We called the student over and presented both choices of weighted animals and he immediately selected the heavier and longer one! This student knew intuitively that the heavier animal helped him feel grounded and calm, but had no way of knowing that such a thing existed before you donors supported my project!
