My students are a wonderful bunch of information seekers. They come into the library with a gleam in their eyes, and a question in their hearts. Unfortunately due to the lack of funds in the school they have nowhere to seek answers for those teachable, inspired questions. Our collection of books is small in the library and so the internet is a greater source to use those detective skills. I am no longer a librarian, I am a Media Specialist, but I find it troubling that my students are doing without the main source of that title, media. I currently serve 480 students for a very low economic area. Many of the students do not own a computer or do not have access to the internet at home. Projects and assignments are nearly impossible to complete. Please help them, for their future and ours.
