My students are from a small, rural community. We have a small close-knit community at our school. Many students who attend our school are third and even fourth generations here. Many students never leave and will spend most of their lives in this rural area.
My students are enthusiastic learners who are eager to explore learning in a variety of ways. They get excited when they are allowed to get their hands dirty as they do science. They become very excited and vocal when presented with lessons that allow them to test ideas, share what they learn, and look at things in new ways. These kids are fearless when they are allowed to think outside the box and enrich the learning of their fellow students as they work together, hypothesize, conduct experiments, and refine their ideas.
