Every time you receive funding for a proposal, you can earn 1 point for each of the following:

• responding within six days to the funding confirmation email
• submitting feedback on time
• submitting feedback that is complete

As you earn points, you accrue benefits. These include:

• Eligibility for awards. Teachers with 6 or more points are considered for "Outstanding Proposal" prizes.
• Ability to submit more proposals. The more points you have, the more proposals you can submit.
• Commendations. Teachers with 18+ points are recommended for media stories and recognized professionally.

A teacher can lose points by not fulfilling the responsibilities mentioned above. Should a teacher fall below 0 points, access to DonorsChoose will be terminated.
