  • Aspiring Young Musicians Need Modern Technology

    Funded Feb 22, 2013

This letter is just a small token of how grateful my students and I are for your selfless generosity in helping fund our technology project for our elementary music classroom!

We have already explored multitudes of musical apps and websites. From games to storybooks to learning about the instruments of the orchestra, we are having a blast. We are composing, improvising, and so much more! We have even been able to purchase a program which allows us to project what is on the iPad onto the Smart Board. This in itself has opened up many more avenues for us when it comes to learning and exploring the world of music education.

Without donors like you, projects and goals like this would not be possible!!! Again, we cannot thank you enough for your continued support of the arts in education. With your support, you are directly nurturing the musicians of tomorrow!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kuchta

  • Once Upon A Time, In A Music Room Far Away...

    Funded Oct 2, 2012

This letter is just a small token of my, as well as my students' gratitude for your generous donation to help purchase our much needed items for our music classroom. The puppets and puppet tree have greatly enhanced my students' ability to expand their role playing opportunities that allow for self expression, creativity, and the development of motor skills.

In today's economy, teachers are facing budget short falls within their classrooms as well as their personal finances. Without this generous gift, my students would not have the opportunity to use these much needed resources to further their academic, emotional, social, and mental growth, health, and education.

Without donors like you, classrooms and students all over the United States would go without. I, along with my students, cannot thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kuchta

“Music is a manifestation of the human spirit, similar to language. Its greatest practitioners have conveyed to mankind things not possible to say in any other language. If we do not want these things to remain dead treasures, we must do our utmost to make the greatest possible number of people understand their idiom.” - Zoltan Kodaly. Welcome to Mrs. Kuchta's classroom where dreams are born and inspirations are nurtured! Mr. Kodaly hit the nail on the head when he stated that music is it's own language and without the proper nurturing of that language, it is likely to die! My classroom is a place where children experience that musical language on a daily basis. Funding this requested project will only enhance the musical experiences for the children in my classroom. Please consider contributing to this project. You never know when/where/who the next Mozart or Beethoven will immerge.
