Wow! This project impacted my classroom in ways I couldn't have ever imagined!

Our class received a beautiful, high quality wooden dollhouse with all of the dolls and accessories we needed. All of my students, including my boys, LOVE using the dollhouse to work on their oral language skills! After introducing the dollhouse to our literacy station rotations I saw a sharp increase in my students' speaking and listening abilities.

My English Language Learners benefited from this the most, but all of my students were more likely to speak in full sentences, use a variety of vocabulary, and respond to questions completely after spending some time sharpening their skills at the dollhouse.

Additionally, the dollhouse has brought us all so much joy. Learning through play is truly the best way to teach young children; thank you for bringing this wonderful opportunity to our classroom.

I sincerely thank each and every one of you for your generosity and helping to make my project a classroom reality. Our new rectangular tables are so versatile. We can rearrange them easily to suit our group learning needs. Switching from round to rectangular tables has helped to free up space for a better "traffic flow" for students. Our new sturdy classroom tables have helped to create a much safer place for learning and moving throughout the classroom. My students and I love our new tables and are extremely grateful for people such as yourself who care about the ecducation of our future leaders!”

Our band students and volunteer students were so excited to see the variety of snacks we received for our Relay For Life events! We had our first band event fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society last week. Our band students hosted the 2nd Annual Relay for Life Music Cafe! Students and faculty performed for parents and guests. The snacks and water provided much needed nourishment for them after school, and during the event. Our families can't always afford to send food for these special after school programs and sometimes the kids needs snacks to hold them over!

Thanks so much for providing water and snacks for our band members so they can participate in great programs like the Music Cafe! Next up is our district Relay for Life where our band will perform again! They know they will have plenty to keep them hydrated and nourished! Thank you again!”

My class and I were so excited to learn that our project, Full Steam Ahead, was fully funded! We received our Legos quite quickly.

We've completed a couple of group projects where students had to use their creativity and their writing skills to write directions for how to duplicate a build. Then after exchanging directions and Lego pieces, students tried to replicate what the first group created (sight unseen). After they finished, they were shown the original build and worked as a team to make revisions to the written directions to improve them.

We've also begun to set up our Creation Station in our classroom where students can go to complete a challenge with the Lego materials. They have to show evidence of planning, completing, and evaluating their project.

The students are so excited to have the ability to be creative in class and complete challenges.”

Thank you so much for the support you have given my project! I am so happy that it has gotten funded! This is the first year that I have tried doing a project for Black History month. The students have really embraced using technology to research their specific person. The typing experience has also proven to be really successful! Although I really want the students to use digital tools for learning, I feel that it is also beneficial for them to be able to use books as a source for research. That was the major reason I created this project. It was too late to use the books this year for the project, but the students love reading them! We can always start using them next year for the research project. I was able to fund for books on some of my kid's favorites: Harriet Tubman, Jackie Robinson, Martin Luther King Jr., and so forth. These books are going to be loved for many years!

One other aspect that I really love from this project, is the new "class pets". Inspired by the story "The Gruffalo", the new class pets are stuffed animals from the book. The students will have a chance to take the pets home for a weekend, and write about their time together. This is a great writing experience, and it really helps struggling writers want to write! I'm looking forward to seeing what the students write for these new pets. Thank you!

I'm beyond thankful for your help in funding this project. These items will be used and loved for many years to come. The support you have given my students is very appreciated. It's because of donors such as yourself, that make it possible to have what I need to help my students. My current project deals with trying to fund for healthy snacks. I find that having snacks on hand, will help students focus and work harder. The snacks come in handy for tutoring, late students who have missed breakfast, and for many reasons throughout the school day. Thank you once more, for helping my students learn and be the best they can be!”
