Shake, Rattle and Roll - The Effects of Plate Tectonics
Funded Nov 9, 2012Thank you so much for the science supplies that my class and I used to learn about plate tectonics, sea floor spreading, and surface plate movement. The 6th grade curriculum focuses on Earth Science which lends itself well to hands-on activities. Through donors choose, I have received fantastic supplies which bring science to life for my students. Previously, I have received an abundance of geology related products, such as rocks, minerals, and how to identify each.
Your donation of supplies to help my students understand the movement of the earth, helped them see through models and hands on activities how earthquakes occur and the differences between the seismic waves. Living in California, it is especially appropriate for my students to understand the movement of earthquakes, the way the plates move, and the results of this movement.
As this project was funded, it was so exciting to see the members of your group add donations to my project. I so appreciate being put on your donation page and your generosity. My students and I thank you for improving our understanding of the earth, and we will continue our love of science.”
