Hi! Welcome to our giving page! Please join us in supporting local schools get the materials they need. Not only is it a GREAT cause, but we are competing against other blogs for most money raised. Let's show them what Mothers in Medicine can do! We've selected some proposals that seem especially fitting: proposals that promote learning about health, science, and the body. Even if it's just $5, we hope you can find a project you'd like to support. Thanks for coming by!
  • Students' First Lab: Biology Laboratory Basics

    Funded Jan 6, 2009

On behalf of myself and my Biology I class, I would like to wholeheartedly thank you for your contribution. This is my first year of teaching, and this addition to my teaching resources provides a tremendous amount of support in my endeavors to instruct my class using a more hands-on approach. The success of this project could not have been accomplished without you, and for that, I am truly grateful. I am sure that my students will greatly benefit in their knowledge of implementing correct laboratory procedures, due to the items that you have funded. Thank you for your part in making this possible.

    Sincerely,

    Christin”

    With gratitude,

  • Flies! Flies! Flies and How Do They Reproduce and Look!

    Funded Oct 2, 2008

Thank you, Thank you very much. This project will definitely enhance my class 100 fold. I can use all the materials with 2 classes of highly motivated students. This means so much to me as I am becoming speechless as I type this note. Every day is a struggle to assemble high quality labs for my students. I have a large number of students that want to become doctors and succeed at college.

Thank you, thank you so much”

    With gratitude,

  • We Will Learn How To Stay Healthy!

    Funded Jan 8, 2009

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the generous donation that you made to both me and my classroom. With the books that you donated I am able to teach my students with more precision. Having my own books allows me to adapt them for the population of students that I teach. I will use the books that I have gotten through DonorsChoose for many years to come to enhance the education of my students. I will be sending you both pictures of the children using the materials as well as thank you cards from the children themselves. Please know that we are so grateful for your generosity and support. Thank you again.

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Shuster

  • Seeing is Believing in Seventh Grade Science

    Funded Oct 2, 2008

Thank you very much for contributing to my classroom. I am so excited about being able to help my students more with visuals. I have many visual learners and the ability to use posters and books will greatly enhance their understanding of science concepts. Science is sometimes difficult for students because they can't touch what we are discussing. Now I can show them a picture or diagram to enhance their understanding. Thanks again for helping me help my students”

  • Throw Us a Bone!!

    Funded Oct 16, 2008

Thank you so much for your donation. Your gift can forever change the life of a young person. When students learn that others care enough about their education to make such a generous contribution, it can inspire them to greatness. I cannot adequately express my appreciation for your thoughtfulness. Thank you”

  • Help Bring Anatomy Off the Paper and Into the Classroom!

    Funded Oct 5, 2008

I just received notification that the full size skeleton for my Biology I and II students was funded! I greatly appreciate your contribution to science education at our school. Again, many of my students are confined to books and their imaginations. The skeleton will enrich their understanding of anatomical and biomechanical concepts beyond that of words and diagrams. You can be sure that your gift will be put to good use immediately and frequently in my room! Again, thank you very much for your help”

    With gratitude,
