I want to start off by saying thank you from the bottom of my heart. My students love to play with puzzles and due to lack of funding, we don't have many. Now thanks to your generosity, all of my students will be able to learn with puzzles. I can't wait to get these puzzles for our learning centers. The Earth Science students at the High School for Health Careers and Sciences want to thank you for your generous donation that enabled the purchase of four GPS units. We went on our hiking trip in March and only had two GPS units. Next year, when we are adequately equipped, the trip will be even more informative and enjoyable. These units will enable us to create profiles, determine latitude and longitude, evaluate elevation gain, and create maps of our hiking experience. Thank you so much for choosing to fund these math materials for my students!

I have decided to structure my mathematics class so that the students are working in centers. Each child spends about 20 minutes in each center, where they can remediate old skills and practice the newly learned skills, as well as work on long-term projects. I find that the centers have helped my students practice their skills and foster their independence. When my students are working in their centers, they are given the opportunity to converse with each other about the lessons. The varying centers also differentiate the lessons so that each child is exposed to many ways to reach the same end; I try as much as possible to appeal to each of my students' type of intelligences. With your help, these educational materials will tremendously supplement my students' centers, and help them further their educations.

Thank you so much for your contribution of a class set of headphones. We use many computer applications that require individual student listening. Now our students will be able to hear their own computer audio and not bother the students near them.

These headphones will be especially helpful for our English language learners and struggling readers who use text-to-sound capabilities when exploring websites and online research resources. They often feel embarrassed to use this helpful tool when others are in earshot. Now they can build reading confidence and have more access to online content.
