Doing so would mean losing a whole generation of scientists. The potential to change the world is in these children's minds, and it would be a crime to neglect them. Let's give these children and teachers the support that they deserve. hide
  • Conducive Learning Environment

    Funded Jan 25, 2008

I (we) would like to thank you for your donation, our school can definitely utilize these resources to enhance our learning experience through hands-on activities. The students and I have been anticipating the arrival of these materials. Theses items will surely enable our learners to visualize and experience science on a different level”

  • Lasting Lab Inquiry: Chemistry & DNA

    Funded Jan 16, 2008

I cannot express my thanks enough for your generosity. You have not only given to meet a wonderful need but you have also made a huge impact on the science education of my students.

Because of your gift towards my proposal, my students will now be able to have fun and exciting labs every Friday. When a student participates in a science lab the lasting impact is seen. They retain more because they learn by doing.

Your gift not only touches my present students but will touch the lives of my future students as well. I will be able to use and reuse these lab kits for years to come. Thank you so much!

    Sincerely,

    Edith ”

  • Who is the Culprit?

    Funded Jan 3, 2008

This is such a timely grant. I am in the process of working on a unit that could use a boost with the materials that are part of this grant. I believe my students will really appreciate these tools that will make a very good 'hands-on' minds-on project.

    Thanks”

  • Spring Science!

    Funded Dec 28, 2007

I am so excited to be able to provide science for the the first and second grade classrooms. Science is one of those life long loves, and we are thrilled to be able to give that love to our kids from a very young age. This Spring Unit has become a tradition that has brought so much excitement and joy to our students. They become able to become scientific observers as they create and care for their living things of nature. You have made it, once again, possible for them to receive this valuable education with wonderful materials that make it possible.

    Thank you again!

  • Stupendous Scientists Start Young!

    Funded Nov 20, 2007

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations! My students are going to be thrilled to use all of these hands on manipulatives to discover that they in fact are stupendous scientists! This is my first time ever receiving free materials for my class, so I thank you for helping me in creating an environment where learning is successful and of course always fun. Looking forward to all my new goodies!

    With Much Appreciation,

  • The Human Body: Learning by Heart!

    Funded Nov 3, 2007

Thank you so much for funding our human body activities! I know that my students will be excited to make their studies personal by listening to their own hearts and checking their own blood pressure. It means a lot to teachers such as myself that there are people and companies out there willing to share what they have to improve student success. Again, thank you so much - I can't wait to get started with these materials! Sincerely,

    Casey ”

  • Starfish View of the Sea

    Funded Oct 30, 2007

Wow! Its like an early birthday present! Thank you ever so much for granting my wish! The students really enjoy having their hands on all things that are real! As I try to teach my students more about oceans and how we are all interconnected, examine a starfish will give them an up close and personal experience. Hands on activities also make learning more real to the student and keep them motivated. Thank you very much!

  • Putting the "Why?" in Science

    Funded Oct 30, 2007

Oh my gosh! I am so excited that this was my first proposal on DonorsChoose and it was funded so quickly! The timing of this couldn't be any better, as we are getting into studying about water (the hydrosphere) and the materials are just what we need to do our experiments. It will be so nice to use "real" lab equipment with my students in class. I can't say thank you enough”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rosa
