  • Genetic Research For Immigrants

    Funded Oct 15, 2007

I was thrilled to see that our proposal to work with genetics materials had been funded with your generous support. Thank you for helping to improve the science learning our school! Our kids are wonderful: recent immigrants, many of them economic or political refugees, struggling to find a new life here in the States. Our philosophy is that hands-on learning is the best way to bridge the educational, cultural and linguistic gaps that are so evident in these diverse classrooms. The lab equipment you have provided will do wonders to bring a very abstract but important set of concepts into a very tangible focus. Thank you so very, very much”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Finney

  • Getting To Know The Hidden World Of Microbiology

    Funded Oct 15, 2007

Thank you so much for your generosity in providing the financial means for the necessary materials for my students to participate in our school's first ever Microbiology Festival. I already had students asking just today about conducting biology experiments for their independent science fair projects. This project will help them learn the necessary skills to help them succeed on those projects, but also in their future biology lab courses in high school, college, and beyond! Once again, thank you so much and I look forward to sending you our thank you cards and photos of our bacteria experiments!

    Sincerely,
