Welcome to my DonorsChoose.org Giving Page. Please choose a project below to support, with a donation of any size! These are projects with very little time left or that only need a small amount of money!
Thank you for giving to our project. The funds provided have enabled us to purchase some much needed content specific literature for our newly established book room at our school. Our district as recently began an initiative to stress literacy skills across all contents in the middle school. Thanks to donors like you we are beginning to add many new resources to supplement this initiative. Thank you again for your contribution. Our faculty, students, and stakeholders are grateful for your generosity.”

Thank you once again for your generous donation, I can't express my gratitude and appreciation enough! My students were absolutely thrilled when the packages arrived at our door. They couldn't wait to play Multiplication BINGO and see their own fingerprints. I don't think I've seen them that excited about anything other than field trips! You have provided hours of fun and entertainment for these 5th and 6th graders.
These gifts turned into much more than just fun games, however. I am very excited to tell you that due to your donation, several students who struggled with their multiplication facts have now almost mastered them! They have gained confidence and excitement with multiplication instead of negativity and distress. It's been wonderful to see the major improvements in my students who struggled with math, and it wouldn't have been possible without your help. You provided the materials that helped these students improve, and for that I will be forever grateful.
Once again, I express with all my heart how thankful and appreciative I am to you. If only we had more kind and caring people like you, our world would be a better place. You have impacted so many students already, and the great news is, there are still more to come! I look forward to spreading your gift throughout the lives of many more students.”

Thanks you so very, very much for your donations to help renew our library collection. My students are really excited about the books and love the titles I chose. These books will not spend much time on the shelves because my students will be checking them out constantly! New titles are so important for our library since our students read a lot. It is important to keep our students reading by peaking their interest with new fiction and nonfiction books. Thanks again for your generosity. ”
Words cannot express how grateful and truly uplifted I am to be a teacher receiving these gifts for my classroom. So often I feel that I am left to teach students will little or no support from the community. I now know that there are people out there who do care about students and their teachers.
This cookware that you have provided for my class has allowed my students to experience healthy cooking. Without this hands on experience students would not know how to properly cook for nutrition. ”
Thank you very much for your kind donation to our project, "Making Math Memorable." The children love the materials! They enjoy using the "Beat the Clock" boards and timers to learn their math facts.
If you were to visit our classroom, you would be pleased to see how popular the 'Beat the Clock" boards are and how excited the students are about learning math. As a result of your donation to this project, the children's math skills have improved. Their interest in math has been strengthened by having fun while learning. Thank you again for your help. ”
I cannot fully express my gratitude to you all for contributing to my project. Thank you for believing in the value of education. Thank you for giving back to your community. Thank you for giving my students a piece of technology that will help learning come alive. Thank you for donating to a project that will serve my students for many years to come. Thank you!
The project you funded has allowed for more interactive learning in the classroom. Students can pass t tablet around and manipulate websites and games on the computer. They can hardly wait for their turn. Their enthusiasm is remarkable! Students are more engaged and excited during math lessons as well as other times when we use the tablet. I am aldy thinking of other ways to use the tablet for more enjoyable learning experiences. My colleagues are also excited about what they see. Some are making plans to purchase a tablet of their own. Thank you for giving to a project that inspires students and teachers to greatness! You are much appreciated.”
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I would argue that it is worth much, much more.
Having this camera, memory card, and case has afforded our classroom so many opportunities that we did not have previously. In the short time that we have had these supplies, we have been able to do so many great things. We have taken pictures to document our successes then posted them around the classroom. We have taken pictures and videos throughout the school day to share our experiences and our work with our parents. We have also used these videos to compare the language of our students with special needs across time. We have used the pictures teachers, and students, have taken to begin writing prompts and other activities. We have written letters to our assistant teacher and her newborn baby. We have written stories about a 9 foot robot that visited us recently. We have made birthday and Valentine's cards for some of our parents.
The children have also gotten to use the camera. They love to take pictures of random things around them, then print the pictures and "write" about them. This has allowed our children to begin looking more closely at their surroundings and think about what they are seeing. It has also given them a different perspective on their environment. I have noticed that my students are becoming more aware of our classroom and the subtle changes that they see (like a rug being moved or the addition of a new chair in the back corner of the room). Awareness and ownership are so important in education. And this camera has helped my children's ability to embrace both within our classroom and our school.
This camera has opened a door for us. We have done so much with it already. And I know that there are countless other ways we will use the camera between now and the end of this school year. And then next year and beyond. Thank you so much for making this possible for me, my assistants, and my students.”
I would like to take the time to thank each of you for your generous donation to my classroom. My students are enjoying the new transportation puzzles very much. We are integrating the puzzles into a unit on transportation. In using the puzzles, the students can see different examples of modes of transportation. It also gives them a chance to practice fine motor skills in picking up the pieces of the puzzles.
Thank you once again for the kind donation to our project. Your generosity has made a big impact on my kindergarten students.
I want to extend a big thank-you to you for donating to my classroom project! The materials that were purchased, have been used everyday in math, as well as in other subject areas. My students love to use the privacy boards when they are concentrating on their work, and the flash-cards are fun for early finishers. The timer has helped make our "math races" more fun and challenging!
Once again, thank you for valuing local education and for supporting education by donating to my students and my classroom!”
Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom! The "Jump Start Our Math" project I requested allowed us to receive several Math Literature books. These books help tremendously in allowing the students to see Math come alive in a real world way.
The students love hearing and reading the books. I believe these books will help my classroom both now and in years to come by allowing students to make that "real-world" connection to Math. The activities listed in the books are timely and valuable for my 3rd graders. Again, thank you.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Dodson
