These are projects from real public school teachers who need your help to make classroom projects a reality for their students. Your gift is fully tax deductible. And you get to choose where it goes!
Thank you so much for funding my "Rocks Are Us" project. The second grade students will greatly benefit from this donation. One of our Science Units is called "Earth Materials". The students are suppose to examine the different properties of rocks. In addition, the students are suppose to learn about sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks. In the past, this has been a very difficult unit to teach because we don't have different rock samples. Now with this donation, the children will be able to examine the different properties of the different types of rocks. They will have a terrific hands on learning experience. In addition they will be able to look at books and the DVD to explore more about geology. The children will become second grade geologists. Thank you so much for your generosity. You donation will give the children a great hands on Science experiences this year and future second graders.
Excited doesn't describe how I felt when I received notification that you had funded my grant for leveled texts. These books will reap huge benefits for my students because they will be able to take them home and practice their reading. Your generosity will make a difference in the lives of these struggling readers. I am very thankful for kind people like you who believe in education and show it. Thank you for being such a thoughtful donor.
Thank you so much for your gift to our room! We cannot wait to raise our chicks! The kids were so excited when I told them that we were receiving an incubator. One of the major themes we study in Kindergarten is the farm and raising chicks will tie in perfectly with this unit. We will also learn about the chick life cycle and their survival needs. It will also teach the children about responsibility and caring for living animals. We will be starting this unit in January after winter break since the eggs need six continuous weeks of care to hatch and grow. They should be fully grown by about the middle of Febraury! Thank you so much again for your gift to our room!
What wonderful news! Thank you so much for funding my grant, "Colorful Graphic Organizers Shed Light!" When I found these graphic organizers online, I thought, "ah, HA! These are what I have been looking for! These are exactly what my students need!" Indeed, colorful and conceptual materials like these stand in stark contrast to many of the other used and shabby materials that adorn the school, and they will truly bring my students' creative ideas to life!
Thank you so much for your most generous contribution. I look forward to sending you thank you letters and photos of the students once we reconvene in the fall.
Most sincerely,
Kendra ”
With gratitude,
Ms. Hennig
