<p>In its inaugural 2006 campaign, Chicago’s Mustaches for Kids community raised over $13,000 for Off the Street Club. In 2007 Chicago Growers kicked the fun-raising and fund-raising up a notch and raised nearly $25,000 for Off the Street Club; all while celebrating the contributions of both Growers and Sponsors. But, especially Growers - a varied batch of principled men, slighting the burden of taking themselves too seriously, and surrendering to any combination of three profoundly human impulses:

I know my students' language acquisition will be very much improved as they are able to model the speech patterns they hear. I am so grateful for your generosity! The school you are donating to has been in need for so long of basic working supplies, such as a copy machine. It is so important to be able to supply students with adequate practice based on their needs. Through this copy machine, teachers will finally be able to modify practice and assessments to meet these needs. As a third grade teacher, I am so inspired by my students motivation and excitement to learn. Not having the basic equipment to facilitate them in their educational journey has been tremendously hard.
