  • A Pencil For Every Student

    When people find out that I choose to teach in the "project schools" they ask me why. My answer is simple: someone needs to show these students that someone cares about them and that they are worth the time and effort. I teach them that nothing can or will hold them back except themselves. There is no way for me to express what these supplies will mean to my students. It has been a struggle for many of my students to bring in notebook paper and binders let alone all the items I have requested in this proposal. I know that once the materials arrive my kids will treat them with care and cherish the ability to start collecting the data from the experiments while using pens and pencils.
