My Project
Help provide students with access to standard tools, such as a dictionary, thesaurus, dry erase boards and with classroom bookshelf in the classroom. Providing access to these tools is important for middle school students who are beginning to develop abstract and critical thinking skills. Understanding, using language, and increasing vocabulary are important for students to be successful on college entrance exams such as the ACT and SAT.
Teaching students to use tools such as the dictionary and thesaurus increases comprehension and the chances of performing well on standardized tests.
Many of our students have little experience working with dry erase board, dictionary & thesaurus tools to improve their vocabulary and writing skills. The ability to write well will allow students to become successful in every aspect of their lives as they continue their education and move on to become productive citizens in the world.
