My Project

What I love most about my students is their hunger for learning. A majority of them are not reading on grade level, but they truly want to be the best that they can be. Due to their circumstances and what has been going on with the world the past three years, they are behind, and through all of their circumstances, they are still courageous enough to come to school daily and admit that they need help to bring themselves up to proficiency. I tell my students daily, that the only way to become a better reader is to read! This project will help me to create a space with books that they will be interested in reading and will help them find a love of reading again. Sure, they read daily in class, but what they read is something that I have assigned them to read.

This project will allow them to truly choose what they are interested in reading with the requested celebrate diversity books and in a space that is inviting enough that they will want to just sit and read.

It will be inviting because of the requested bean bag seats, floor seats, and balance ball.
