This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My eager, little learners work hard every day in the classroom. Our challenge is that the classroom is a portable building. The portable is equipped with a bathroom but there isn't a drinking fountain. My students don't always bring a water bottle and disposable cups are expensive and not good for the environment.
I want to provide my students with water bottles that they can keep in the classroom and reuse when they need water.
The water bottles will be labeled with the students' names. Students will be able to refill the water bottles during the day with the 5-gallon water bottle pump.
I also want to provide my students with reusable raincoats to use during transitions to lunch, resource, and dismissal on rainy days. This will help them to stay dry and warm even during downpours.
