This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

What I love so much about my students is they're appreciative, grateful and eager to learn. They possess so little but have a humble attitude and appreciation for the little things in life. They are extremely curious and inquisitive about the knowing, the doing, the finding out, the who, the what, the when, the why and the how, all done the montessori way.

One subject of interest is Acrylic Paint Pouring and the curiosity of cause and effect.

They are curious about the Science of this process. The students will combine acrylic paint with floetrol or water to create solutions in different colors, densities and viscosities depending on their chemical makeups. These mixtures will allow these colors to flow and react in interesting ways when poured onto canvases.
