This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students are smart, kind, inquisitive, and they love math!
Providing activities that give students the opportunity to practice math skills is essential.
Supplying students with manipulatives to solve math problems is also imperative. These manipulatives and teaching tools will allow students to gain a deeper understanding in the area of number sense.
The addition and subtraction machines will provide automatic feedback during independent work. The magnetic mat and tens frames will be perfect for the small groups I will pull to my table. The magnetic dry erase boards will make math practice fun and easy for me to check their understanding. The math puzzles will engage students during center time and give them opportunities to memorize math facts.
I added partitions to my project since our class size has increased each year. These are so helpful for assessments and quiet working times.
My students will greatly benefit from these math materials.
