This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you wish that you could pick up a pencil and just keep writing? Well, my first grade students struggle with this everyday. Writers need a visual picture and mentors to help them become more successful writers. My students ALWAYS tell me they want to become better writers.

My students are 1st grade students at a charter school in PA.

Our charter school is a K-8 school and is a Title I school. Our students present a wide range of diversity in our school. Our students come from different types of families that have different stories to share everyday. This is my third year as a teacher and it is my true passion.

My Project

My student's lives in school will change drastically with a document camera.. I will be able to become a better teacher of writing as well as teach my students to be teachers of writing to each other. My students will be able to learn how to improve and change their writing to become authors and publish. Most of my students learn from a visual picture and I believe that this document camera that I am requesting will help them interact with each others writing and make suggestions and compliments to become better speakers in writing as well. I have a projector in my classroom, but I need this visual presenter to enhance the student experience. I will be able to use this product because I have all of the necessary tools within the classroom to do so.
