This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Oh no, not another boring social studies textbook! What teacher wants to hear that? What I want to do is motivate my students to find out what's going on around the world and Time for Kids magazine is the way to do just that!

I teach at a great school and the rumor going around is that I am getting a fabulous group of 4th graders this year.

I am really so excited! While I know that my future students are motivated, social studies, especially current events, can sometimes be somewhat dry.

My Project

My students need individual copies of Time for Kids. Time for Kids is a great magazine. It contains interesting articles and fabulous picture. What I love about this magazine is that it is written at a reading level that all my students can comprehend. Having this magazine in the classroom will allow my students to experience the world they live in. They will be able to take this knowledge home and share it with their families as well.

Won't you please help the students in my class learn about the world around them, in a fun, exciting way?

I really want them to take an interest in current events and can think of no better way.
