Don't let 150 students feel the effects of traveling teacher syndrome!
My students are exceptionally bright and talented.
Many students are first- or second-generation immigrants; some will even be the first in their families to attend college. Unfortunately, they come from low-income households, and the resources in our urban school district are very limited.
My Project
An LCD projector will make a world of a difference to my students. Time will no longer be wasted while I set up the day's agenda and activities. They will also see a real world connection to the curriculum through authentic video clips from around the Spanish-speaking world. Moreover, less copies will be made, and the day's classwork can be linked to the school's website so that absent students can easily access missed work.
Many of my students do not know a world outside of their neighborhood.
Being exposed to a world thousands of miles away sparks their curiosity, and they have so many thoughtful questions. Help me inspire a lifetime of learning and cultural understanding for my students!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
