Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
“Life is all about timing... the unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable become available, the unattainable... attainable... It's all about timing.” Stacey Charter. My students are making this a fact every day.
The students I support are 9th and 10 graders impacted by moderate to severe disabilities (ADHD, Autism, Cognitive Delays).
They are currently in my functional academics class working to be the most independent, self-sufficient people they can become.
My Project
Our timers are on the fritz. My students depend on the timers to assist them with their time management. They are a valuable resource for them. The timers help keep them on task, focus and give them a sense of control over their day. They are not worrying about how much time they do or don't have. My students can get a sense of accomplishment seeing how much they can get done in a given amount of time.
With new timers the students have greater independence by keeping track of the time even if they can't read a clock.
Please fund this project and help my students keep themselves on the right track.
