My Students

My School District, attempting to balance the budget in very difficult times, has stated the Library budget for next year is ZERO. We will have no funds for new, or replacement, books.

Our elementary population is 80% poverty level.

Our PTA has no extra funds to cover our needed Library books. Our students are big readers, and the library loves having the latest books, popular series, the best new award winners to keep our students reading!

My Project

One of the most exciting things every year is displaying and talking about NEW BOOKS! It's a real treat for our students to browse, then check out, the new titles! It would break my heart to have nothing new to offer our students, or be able to replace our much loved, worn-out titles.

Please help fund this grant as we are in dire need of new books for our little, struggling Library.
