My Students

Lights, Camera, Action is what we want to happen in our classroom. We need a camera to create Tiger Talk.

I teach Desktop Publishing, Word Processing, Computer Applications, and Keyboarding to high school students in grades ninth through twelfth.

Our school district is growing every year and is the largest in the state of Mississippi when we started school in August. We are in a low-income community. We are located at the top of Mississippi.

My Project

My Desktop Publishing classes are in desperate need of a digital camera for our Tiger Talk newsletter. We do not have a camera so we have to borrow one or bring one from home to take pictures for the newsletter. This newsletter is sent home to the parents with report cards. My other classes could benefit greatly from a digital camera especially when I am teaching PowerPoint. Having a digital camera will allow our students to do their assignments in a timely manner as well as cover events simultaneously and to show their great talent through photography.

If we are provided with a new digital camera the entire school will reap the benefits by having a newsletter to send home to the parents with a picture of themselves or other students and what is happening at school.

Your donation will make a wonderful difference in my students' lives ensuring that they get the education that they deserve with the equipment that they need. After all, technology is the future of our lives.
