Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My students wish to become knitwitz. My students belong to a high-need community where many families can not afford to heat their homes. My 9th through 12th graders will increase their self-esteem and worth by producing hand-made crafts for other families who are in great need.
Many of my students wish to join my knitting club but may not have the monetary resources to provide many, if any, materials for our numerous projects we are about to create. They show a deep interest in helping their fellow community members even if they can't often provide for themselves many times.
In order to get our community service craft club going, we will need many different types of yarn (different colors and textures) in order to create eye-catching blankets, hats and scarves for our community members.
Your donations will make it possible for my students to make a difference in the community and to help other families in need this winter. We hope to bring happiness and warmth into the families one knit stitch at a time.
