This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I am a technology teacher in an Urban Charter School in Northern New Jersey. Our students come from mostly low income households and often miss out on a variety of opportunities that the students in surrounding areas have.
Throughout the school year the students participate in different activities such as a school musical and drama. I would like to give the students an opportunity to capture these special moments to share with their family and friends. Having the ability to allow the students to take video and pictures will open a new outlet for their creativity. It will also allow the students a chance to share these achievements on line using photo sharing and video sharing websites.
The resources needed for this project include a digital video camera, a digital still camera and a SD memory card.
Please help fund this project and open a new world of creativity to my students. This project may inspire the next Spielberg.
