Our classroom is full of 24 eager first graders.
They are so excited to learn and are full of energy! They are little sponges, ready to soak up knowledge. They also love to wiggle and giggle! They are learning how to be ballerinas, firefighters, musicians, teachers, computer engineers, and friends. They are our future!
My Project
First graders, are you tired of doing lack-luster paper and pencil activities? The answer to all of your problems are Boogie Boards! Boogie Boards are small writing tablets that use a stylus. Drawings, words, and thoughts can be jotted on the writing surface and erased with the touch of a button. Boogie Boards will help us practice necessary skills while ensuring that everyone is engaged and excited. Boogie Boards will increase the fun factor and get kids even more excited about learning!
For math stations and reading stations we meet in a small group setting daily to practice phonics, spelling, reading strategies, math facts, addition, subtraction, and more. Students will use their Boogie Boards to jot down questions during the lesson, solve math problems, and write responses to texts at their reading level.
Simple devices, like Boogie Boards, can transform teaching practices and increase a student's excitement for learning.
Reluctant writers will love to write on their Boogie Boards! These tools will help increase engagement across all subject areas.
