Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I teach art to students in grades k-5 in a lower income neighborhood. I strive to give my students a rich experience in art that they can carry out into the world.
My children have few real world experiences that I can call on in the art classroom so I try to create a rich and inspiring environment. My goal is to make our classroom as much like a real artist's studio as possible.
I would like to have a life size articulated skeleton in my classroom to teach my students about anatomy. I believe that they will gain knowledge that will benefit them in science as well as art. My goal is that the students will be equipped and motivated to improve their figurative work and hopefully create interests that may one day even steer some of them into the medical fields.
Your help will ensure that my students have access to the materials they need to truly work up to their potential in an environment that will be mentally stimulating.
